Easy win for Real Madrid over Sociedad

Madrid, Nov 10 (IANS) Real Madrid go into the international break on the back of a comfortable 5-1 win at home to a hapless Real Sociedad, with Cristiano Ronaldo completing another hat-trick.

The game was over as a contest when Cristiano Ronaldo put Madrid 3-0 ahead from the penalty spot to cap a 14-minute spell in which they took advantage of their rivals' poor tactical disposition, reports Xinhua.

Although Real Sociedad coach Jagoba Arraste may have thought he was being brave by starting with an attacking trio of Carlos Vela, Antoine Griezmann and Haris Seferovic, but the fact is it was an open invitation for Madrid to tear his side apart as none of the three got back to provide defensive cover, leaving full backs Carlos Martinez and Jose Angel perilously exposed every time Madrid looked to attack.
