Dev Darshan Senior Center Hosts Joyful Navratri Garba Festival and Honors Seniors’ Birthdays in October

CHICAGO, IL- Dev, Darshan Senior Center celebrated a joyous occasion at the Bensenville Park District Hall on Sunday, October 29th. This event was a confluence of celebrations, marking the birthday of Hema Shastri, the founder and president of the center, and also acknowledging all the October birthdays within the senior community. Additionally, it coincided with the festive spirit of Navarathri and the vibrant Garba festival. More than 150 seniors came together to enjoy this memorable program.

A highlight of the event was the presence of Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, who graced the occasion with his participation. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi for being a part of this special day.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Kadarbhai, Asifbhai, and Dilipbhai Patel, as well as all our family and friends who joined us in celebrating Hemashastri’s birthday. Your presence added immeasurable joy to the festivities.

A special note of thanks goes out to Shailendra Bhatnagar and Bhavna Thakkar Noto for their outstanding Garba singing performances. Their captivating talents entertained everyone present and added an extra layer of excitement to the event.
