WEST HARTFORD (CT) — A special meeting was held in West Hartford, Connecticut in honor of Dr.Rajwant Singh, chairman of the Sikh Council of Religion and Education, and to raise the awareness among Sikhs of Connecticut about the National Sikh Campaign.
The presentation and brochures were given to inform everyone why this campaign was important for Sikhs’ future in America.
Dr. Singh answered questions related to the campaign.
The meeting was organized by Kulwant Singh Samra from Southington Sikh Temple and Swaranjit Singh Khalsa from Sikh Sewak Society International.
Many prominent members of Connecticut Sikh community came to attend the meeting.
Dilraj Singh Chawla, president of the CT Sikh Association, also gave his input and made some suggestion regarding the campaign.
Kanwalpreet Singh Atwal,Kuljit Singh Khalsa,Kulwant Singh Samra, Bajwa,Sukhdev Singh and many other respected members took initiative to attend this meeting.
Davinder Singh Chemma from the Norwalk Sikh Temple also played an important role by giving green signal to the campaign. It was to raise $5 million.
Dr.Singh made very clear that this was not the project of one person or affiliated to one party or group but a joint effort that needed everyone’s involvement.
