Beijing, Aug 30 (IANS) The Chinese subsidiary of Chrysler will recall cars on the Chinese mainland over flaws that may lead to fires, the country’s quality watchdog has said.
It will involve 25,505 imported Grand Cherokees produced between Jan 1, 2011 and Dec 11, 2013, Xinhua cited from an online statement by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on Friday.
Cords in the vehicles’ sun visors may lead to short circuits or fires, the statement said.
The recall will start Oct 20 and the company will replace the flawed cords free of charge, the statement added.
