Chicago’s Northerly Island weather station knocked out of commission

The weather station at Northerly Island broke down Wednesday, just a week after it started working again following a previous shutdown on March 30, but after initially saying it could take weeks to repair, the National Weather Service said the equipment should be back up as soon as later Thursday.
