Madrid, Dec 17 : Barcelona cruised into the last 16 of the Spanish King's Cup knockout competition after an 8-1 home win against third-tier side SD Huesca.

Leading 4-0 after the first leg, Barcelona fielded a side filled with fringe players but that was little handicap as two goals from Pedro Rodriguez quickly put them 2-0 up, before Sergi Roberto added a third before the half hour.

Pedro finished off his hat-trick before the break and Barcelona went in 5-0 ahead at half-time after Andres Iniesta also got his name on the score-sheet.

Adriano, Adama Traore and Sergio Ramirez added to Barcelona's goals in the second half before Gaspar netted a last minute consolation for Huesca.

An injury time goal from Fabian Orellana saw Celta Vigo into the next round with a 4-3 aggregate against Las Palmas.

The tie had looked to be set for extra-time as the return leg reached the 90th minute with the same 2-1 score as the first leg in Las Palmas had ended.

Larrivey and Sani Mina had put Celta 2-0 ahead, but Nauzet's 53rd minute goal had looked to be sending the game into extra-time before Orellana's late goal.

Paco Alcacez scored twice to help sent Valencia through 6-5 on aggregate following a chaotic and wildly entertaining 4-4 draw at home to Rayo Vallecano.

Rayo had led 3-1 at the break thanks to goals from Jozabed, Pozuelo and Pereira, but the two goals from the Spain international, plus one from Rodrigo and an own goal saw Valencia into the last 16.

Finally Juan Ignacio Martinez's debt as Almeria coach began his spell in charge with a 2-1 home win against Betis.

Michel Macedo opened the scoring 13 minutes into the second half and Jonathan Zongo doubled Almeria's lead from almost the middle of the pitch before Perquis scored for Betis 13 minutes from time, although that was not enough to stop Almeria qualifying 6-4 on aggregate.
