Bal Vihar of St. Louis Celebrates Graduation Ceremony

ST. LOUIS, MO – The Center for Indian Cultural Education – Bal Vihar of St. Louis, a distinguished non-profit dedicated to nurturing Indian cultural education among youth, celebrated a significant graduation event on April 28th, 2024, at the Hindu Temple Community Center (HTCC) in St. Louis, MO.

The occasion, known as Graduation Sunday, was particularly momentous for our graduating seniors, Year 5, and Group 7 students. Several Year 5 seniors, with up to 12 years of Bal Vihar involvement, shared heartfelt reflections, marking a pivotal moment before their college journey. Amidst speeches filled with excitement and emotion, the event showcased the completion of Year 3 students’ Bal Vihar curriculum, signaling their transition to community engagement and further educational pursuits.

The ceremony, commencing at 10:00 a.m., began with an invocation by Padamdeesha Das, followed by an insightful address from Dr. Barnali Gupta, Dean of the Chaifetz School of Business at Edward Jones St. Louis University. The event featured touching moments like the Senior Farewell for Year 5 students and the Group 7 Bridge Ceremony, symbolizing growth and continuity within the Bal Vihar community.

Dr. Sudhir Brahmbhatt expressed gratitude to attendees, emphasizing the collective effort that makes Bal Vihar a cultural education beacon in St. Louis. The event also honored Bal Vihar educators whose dedication shapes future generations and advances the organization’s mission.
