The event was attended by a large number of top producing cargo agents from across Midwest and other invited guests. Top 5 Producing Agents were felicitated with a plaque of recognition for their contribution.

According to Tom Dempsey, District Cargo Sales Manager, Midwest, Air India was one of the oldest airlines in the world and the second airline to order 28 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Air India currently operates about 25% of its 335 weekly international services on the

Dreamliner.

Air India, which has a non-stop policy from the US to India at present will be offering passengers a choice with the expected introduction of an additional flight into Chicago.

The choice would be the present non-stop, or a European stop.

Dempsey said that this would once again open additional markets to the cargo community, as well as the passenger market, and with this expansion, he said, only agents’ continued support could make these flights successful.

Awards were given to top five cargo agents in Chicago– Kintetsu World Express, Itasca, Helmann Worldwide Logistics, Schiller Park, Ceva Freight LLC., Elk Grove Village, Freight Systems, Chicago and Capricorn Logistics, Bensenville.
