Activist & popular community member Ashfaq Syed

NAPERVILLE, IL- In politics and in community often it is the right choices that make all the difference. Choosing the right candidate without getting influenced with biases, prejudices or personal issues often leads to smarter, more effective changes.

Every election cycle, we are reminded that each vote counts and right participation matters. As the upcoming Naperville City Council elections draw close, once more Hi India maintains the highest integrity and chooses to endorse a candidate who is known for his impact, has a track-record of meaningful work and promises discipline towards the cause he is standing for.

Activist and popular community member Ashfaq Syed is running for the Naperville City Council. A Naperville resident, Syed has been involved in the city and its development for years now.

Hi India believes, Syed with his background in community work and social engagements has created impact in the city and with the right platform he would be able to bring diversity and dedication and take the city of Naperville to further heights.

Syed, who is a current trustee on Naperville Public Library Board and is also a graduate of the Naperville Citizen Police Academy and the Naperville Citizen Fire Academy has been observing the needs of the city at the micro level. Syed also believes that his election would reflect the rich cultural diversity of the city and as a board member for Naperville Neighbors United and as a Diversity Advisory Board member for the National Herald he has got the right bearings for a candidate that can create a better communal environment for all.

Syed’s vision for a better neighborhood involves the young too and his experience as a committee member for 360 Youth Services, a Civic Engagement Committee adds to his understanding on how to involve youth as well as attend to their needs if the community has to progress together.

Hi India recognizes that an ideal candidate should be the one who has a vision to make the community more seen and heard on a national level. In 2019, as a co-chair for the 2020 US Census Naperville Complete Count Committee, he worked with the chairman of Naperville Compete Count Committee, Mark Rice to create innovative strategies for a widespread outreach campaign. The hard work paid off and Naperville was recognized as Number 1 City in America for US Census Self Responses. As a publication, we understand the positive growth this recognition brings to any city in terms of receiving better federal and state funding as well as reducing the local tax burden on citizens.

Naperville deserves a candidate that has a larger vision for the city, the community and the residents and Hi India recognizes that choosing a candidate based solely on his work and ethics is the right way to go.

The Naperville City Council elections will be held on April 4, 2023
