The moment the entire country has been waiting for, for 13 long years, is finally here. The last time we felt this level of exhilaration as a country, was when Abhinav Bindra shot his way to the gold medal, at Beijing Olympics in 2008. India has finally broken its 13 year old gold drought, through its newest superstar javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra’s monstrous throw.

Neeraj made headlines last week after he settled at top of the table, with a megathrow that scored an impressive 86.65 m on the board. Today, he surpassed that with a massive 87.58 m, that no one else was able to match.

Both the silver and bronze were won by Czech Republic.
