“Amitabh Bachchan is the biggest Ambassador for India in the world,” — Ro Khanna

Indian American Congressman Ro Khanna met Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai over the weekend and came out mighty impressed. The congressman said, “Amitabh Bachchan is the biggest ambassador for India in the world.” Khanna is currently in India leading a bipartisan congressional delegation. He met Bachchan and after the meeting told PTI, “We had a wide-ranging conversation for an hour on Artificial Intelligence (AI)… the rise of India, Bachchan’s father, and the importance of India-US relationship. Amitabh Bachchan’s life story embodies the story of India.” He also said, “I told Mr Bachchan that he must visit the United States again – that he offers hope to so many Indian-American immigrants like my family and parents and he is the symbol for the rise of India and the Indian Americans.”

He also wrote on social media, “It was an absolute honor to meet with @SrBachchan . He was proud about India’s journey since independence linked with his own life and of the Indian-American community. He presented me with a book by his father who knew my grandfather.”
