Sorensen, citing “community feedback.” Mayor Sorensen expressed disappointment, mentioning her personal religious beliefs but cited potential complications for the city’s best interest. Rajan Zed, the Hindu statesman slated to deliver the invocation, expressed surprise at the cancellation, emphasizing the significance of prayers for the common good.
