All We Know About Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach, The Upcoming First Person Survival Horror Game

The buzz around this game has only got bigger since the trailer was released a month ago. The eighth instalment in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series is all but here and will hit consoles on December 16, 2021. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach will debut on PlayStation and Microsoft Windows in just over a week. This nonlinear survival game is published by Scott Games. It was Scott Cawthon who developed this franchise back in 2014; it’s gained a cult following in quick time.

Five Nights moves to a new setting: 

Traditionally all instalments of the franchise have taken place in a pizzeria, this one unfolds in a mall and will feature a single night of survival instead of five. The move from locations connected to family pizza restaurant – Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is an interesting one. Previous versions of the game typically feature the player taking on the role of a night-time employee who needs to defend against hostile animatronic characters. Of course you always have tools like security cameras, doors and vents to employ in your defence strategy.  This game franchise has worked largely because of a simplistic yet scary formula. 

Gregory’s day out: 

Security Breach is set in Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. You play Gregory, a little boy who’s trapped overnight. The pizzaplex’s lockdown procedures go into effect as you’re stuck inside and need to find a way out. You will be pitted against Roxy, Chica and Monty, animatronics who have been employed by Pizzaplex security to relentlessly hunt you down. It’s not just a blind run. You need to strategise as you get past your enemies and S.T.A.F.F. bots that aid the animatronics as they sound alarms and alert the animatronics on your location. 

You have insider help:

The animatronics keep evolving as the night progresses, you need to keep adapting in this game of survival. You’re not alone though. Freddy Fazbear is your key ally with insider tips, shortcuts and warnings about likely challenges. You will also have an array of tools at your disposal like paint cans, security cameras and toys. Gamers will probably enjoy using the Faz Cam and the Fazblaster as part of the ammo at their disposal. 

The action unfolds soon: 

The trailer that was first screened at Sony’s State of Play on October 27 has raised the expectations. The neon-filled arcade and pizzeria features musically talented but scary animatronic robots. Going to the mall might have just gotten scarier.
