Akshara Vaagdevi Int’l School: Teachers are nation’s architects

Hyderabad: Akshara Vaagdevi International School in collaboration with Pallavi Model Schools celebrated Teachers’ Day on a virtual platform to honour teachers and appreciate their special contributions towards education. Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on September 5 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan .

The event commenced with the students according to a warm welcome to teachers for the celebrations. Students spoke about the significance of the day and the responsibilities of a teacher in shaping the future of the students. They also mentioned that teachers not only teach subjects, but they also improve the personality, confidence and skill level. They make us able to get over any problem or difficulty all through life. They mould children into responsible citizens who in turn are the nation’s future.

Head boy Sachin along with other council members organized some fun-filled games like spin the wheel, tongue twisters and blindfold drawing which were enjoyed by all the teachers. It brought back a lot of childhood memories for the teachers. The students performed a skit where they became teachers and conducted online classes.

Students from Grade PP to X prepared greeting cards thanking all the teachers for their hard work despite the raging pandemic. Principal G Vanaja addressed the gathering.
