Ever since the teaser trailer of Adipurush was released it has received an immense amount of criticism over its poor VFX quality and the ill portrayal of Ram and Ravan. In the film, Prabhas will be seen as Ram, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, and Kriti Sanon as Sita. Om Raut’s directorial was set to release on January 12, 2023. But it seems, the makers of the movie are having second thoughts and are planning to postpone the release date after facing the backlashes of criticisms.
Not only the netizens who have trolled and slammed the film but even the head priest of Ayodhya temple had also lashed out at the teaser and demanded a boycott of the film. However, now the film might get pushed for this reason. Scroll below to get the scoop.
Adipurush is going to have a pan-Indian release. As the film has already met with so much hatred and criticism over a short period of time, the makers are thinking to shift the release date. But this is not it, as per a report in an entertainment portal Telugu cinema, what might have given a little scare for Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush makers is that three big South films Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya and Varisu featuring big names are also slated for Sankranti release next year, the same weekend as Om Raut’s directorial.

Now, as per the same report, makers might think of a second release date option to avoid the box office clash with the big South films, and given the current negativity around the film, Om Raut’s directorial will not be able to cash in on. Well, there’s no official announcement made on it yet.
