Actor Chitra Shukla’s ‘Uniki’ is about civil servant’s struggle

Starring actor Chitra Shukla in the lead role, upcoming movie ‘Uniki’ is slated to hit theatres on January 26. 

‘Uniki’ is a story about a person who makes it to civil services from a humble background of a middle-class family. The film also stars ‘Natakam’ fame Ashish Gandhi.

According to the makers, the film has elements of thrill and suspense drawing inspiration from a few real life incidents. “Uuniki’ is currently in the post-production stage. Soon after completion of censor formalities, it will be released in theatres on the Republic Day next month. 
It’s a story about how a woman who was born into a middle-class family goes on to crack the civil services examination and became a District Collector. What challenges does she face when she ventures out to serve the society? And how she wades through the challenges. Two singles have been released already from the film. “The first look poster which was released by Manchu Manoj, had received good attention on the social media,” said Bobby Edidha and Rajesh Babburi who are jointly bankrolling the film under the banner Evergreen Entertainments.

Rajkumar Bobby is directing the movie in which actor late TNR had also acted before succumbing to the Covid-19 during the pandemic. Other characters in the film include Naga Mahesh, Appaji Ambarish, Prabhavathi, Tiktok Durgarao, Padmasri, Bandi Kiran among others. Music is composed by P Rohith.
