Watch: ‘I’m not sure what it’s done’ – ‘Magician’ Mujeeb bowls a carrom ball so deceptive it takes multiple replays to figure out

Watch: Afghanistan mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman left even the commentators stumped with his deceptive carrom ball during a BBL chash.

The Brisbane Heat spinner had already derailed Hobart Hurricane’s chase in the New Year’s Day contest when he returned to get rid of Jordan Thompson.

A carrom ball delivered by him pitched outside off and zipped back in sharply and dislodged the batter’s bails.

One of the commentators was in awe of the dismissal, “Ah, that’s clever. Too good, too clever, too skilfull. Mujeeb, he is a magician.”

But soon it was found that the commentators themselves weren’t able to decipher Mujeeb’s delivery. “Oh no, I’m not sure what it’s done,” said Michael Vaughan upon seeing the first slo-mo replay. In the next replay, which was a close-up of Mujeeb’s bowling hand, they were able to figure out it was a carrom ball.

Mujeeb finished with 3-20 in a match-winning effort. These were his best figures in the BBL.
