This Perfume Is Key If You Want to Smell Like an Effortlessly Cool French Person

Come on, I know you want to. Whether you’ve been thinking about upping your fall fragrance game or are looking for a new low-key place to snag something unique, look no further than Atelier Cologne. Any time I imagine oozing French charm, this especially elegant brand always comes to mind. It produces the crisp, long-lasting, unisex scents you’ve always dreamed of owning but haven’t quite been able to find. (Yet, that is.)

According to the brand, Atelier Cologne fragrances combine the freshness of a cologne with the power of a perfume. Its pure perfume blend (unlike other plain old perfumes) contains a higher average concentration of citrus essential oil to help boost lasting power. The result? A collective of fabulously curated scents that linger far past lunchtime. Each scent contains a star ingredient (giving the perfume its name), pure perfume concentrate, and other high-quality raw materials for extra character. The brand does effortlessly cool so well that it only seemed appropriate for me to dig up its best sellers and what makes each a must for your collection.

If you’re in the market for a new signature essence and smelling extra French is high on your list of priorities, check out the best Atelier Cologne fragrances to add to your collection below.

Containing key notes of vanilla, lime, and coriander, this uniquely warm scent is one of the brand’s top sellers because it plays with the unexpected so well. Each note comes from a different part of the world, including Madagascar (vanilla) and Mexico (lime).

If you like a warm, sunny, and extra citrusy scent, this best seller is for you. It was inspired by a walk on the beach under the California sun and also includes notes of juniper berry for a twist.

This cologne is another citrus-heavy scent but also includes earthy sandalwood and Chinese geranium. You’ll walk around smelling like a freshly blooming blood orange tree in the best way possible.

Lemon Island contains fresh notes of lemongrass, jasmine, and vanilla. It’s basically an island vacay in a bottle. “There is something sensual, sunny, and happy [about it] at the same time,” says the brand’s co-founder Sylvie Ganter.

For more of a musky aroma, opt for Oolang Infini. This fragrance was inspired by a warm cup of tea on a misty morning and contains bergamot, guaiac wood, and notes of oolong tea.

Love Osmanthus contains traces of the nocturnal Osmanthus flower, a fruity addition to this otherwise musky fragrance. Notes of lemon and cedarwood finish off this sleek and mysterious scent.

Dreamy and beachy (but still incredibly French) perfectly describe the brand’s Pacific Lime cologne. It’s easily one of the best Atelier Cologne fragrances because it’s an aromatic cocktail of coconut, lime, eucalyptus, and spearmint that’s soft yet freshly sweet.

Brimming with jasmine, lavender, cardamom, and citrus, this sun-kissed scent is one of the strongest.

Zesty pomelo, orange blossom, rose essence, and mint are all prominent notes in this scent. It may be in the citrus family, but the other notes balance out the orange so it isn’t overpowering.

If you’re more into florals, this rose-prominent scent is for you. Notes of bergamot and patchouli round out this smoother fragrance.

Sometimes, you just really love to smell like clean laundry, right? Atelier Cologne’s best fragrance for that is Trèfle Pur Cologne. It contains notes of basil, bitter orange, and patchouli.

This fragrance is fruity and floral but with a musky base. Bergamot, vanilla, and Moroccan neroli blend together for a truly exclusive concoction.

With a base of Haitian vetiver and cedarwood, this scent is one of the best Atelier Cologne fragrances for its earthy, leathery, and smoky aroma. The top notes of bergamot, lemon, and orange blossom finish it off beautifully.

Although this is one of the brand’s pricier scents, that doesn’t mean it isn’t totally worth it. It touts a unique floral blend of tangerine, pink pepper, and violet leaves wrapped in a base of patchouli and white amber.
