8th annual IndiaFest Milwaukee 2020, Sept 12th

BROWN DEER, WI- Spindle India, Inc., celebrates 8th annual INDIAFEST MILWAUKEE to mark the 74th Independence Day of India and celebrating India in the State of Wisconsin on Saturday September 12th, 2020 at 11am CST at 6155 W Villa Ln, Brown Deer, WI 53223. Please join us for a modest celebration this year.

Due to unprecedented time of a global pandemic, we are celebrating this occasion in a slightly delayed fashion (with a hope, things would be better by now), in a significantly scaled-down version and tremendously modestly to ensure safety for all. We will continue the tradition of celebrating the essence of India in Milwaukee, and we shall follow all state required coronavirus related restrictions and precautions necessary. We will observe India’s Independence Day in the presence of elected officials and community leaders. Ambassador of India Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Governor State of Wisconsin Tony Evers, Consul General of India Amit Kumar, Chief Minister of Tripura (India) Biplab Kumar Deb, Mayor of Milwaukee Tom Barrett, Air India Chief and GM, Consul General of Bangladesh Monir Choudhury, Consul General of Comoros Charif Hachim, Consul General of Nepal Marvin Brustin, Former Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker, Former Justice Supreme Court Daniel Kelly, and many leaders invited. Event would also be broadcasted virtually at https://www.facebook.com/IndiaFestMilwaukee/.

Spindle India, Inc, is a non-profit organization strengthening India-U.S. relations. Founded in 2013, we successfully brought thousands of people from all ethnic backgrounds under one umbrella to celebrate India’s diversity in Wisconsin in a grand scale for many years, and spread awareness of India’s diversity, heritage, history, and culture. State of Wisconsin recognized our effort and declared 15th Aug as India Day in 2018 and 2019.
