Valencia (Spain), April 4: Germany's Davis Cup captain Michael Kohlmann on Wednesday said his team was ready for a very tough quarterfinals confrontation against hosts Spain.

Kohlmann has his full team assembled in Valencia following the arrival of World No. 4 Alexander Zverev, whose run in the Miami Open ended on Sunday with a loss in the final round to John Isner of the US, reports Efe.

The quarterfinals are to take place April 6-8 at the iconic Plaza de Toros de Valencia.

Germany's captain said he was pleased Zverev had reached the final in Miami, but admitted it was a challenge to have less time to adapt to the change in court surface; the Miami Open is played on hard court, while the quarterfinals are to be played on outdoor clay.

Kohlmann said he was confident Zverev, the highest-ranked German player in the world, will be ready after a few days of training.
