Bean twin in Algonquin: Ron Bias scores again

CHICAGO, IL – A 40-feet-high sculpture depicting sales of a yacht has been installed in the heart of downtown Algonquin, Chicago’s suburb. Prominent Indian Ron (Ram) Bias has engineered and sculpted the monument.

The sculpture is installed right next to the banks of picturesque Fox River adjoining the unique world-famous Port Edward Restaurant.

Built out of high-grade stainless steel, it parallels famous Bean installed in Millennium Park, Chicago Downtown in all its aspects. The sculpture is made out of quarter-inch thick stainless steel plate with a 48-feet-tall, heavy, steel pipe keeping the sales upright. At its base, eight feet of it is inside the ground to ensure stability.

Mayor of Algonquin, John Schmitt, inaugurated the sculptor during a city reception attended by over 200 people. Mayor Schmitt profusely praised the complete project stating that it had uplifted the looks of downtown Algonquin.

Among the speakers was also the designer Ron Bias, CEO of G and F Manufacturing that produced the sculpture.

Speaking at the occasion, Ron Bias said, “It [the sculpture] will be remembered as the Bean of Algonquin.” Mr. Bias also thanked his team of workers, especially Simon and Andy for having worked hard to make the project successful.

He also thanked the suppliers of the stainless steel. It needs a mention that a very high grade of stainless steel used in the project that carries manufacturer’s certification.

His wife Karen Bias accompanied him. Pralhad Patil, Girish Soni, Shaila Patel, were present among the notable guests.

Ron (Ram) Bias’s high-profile G and F Manufacturing is an Oak Lawn-based 60-year-old stainless steel fabricating company. It specializes in producing as big as 10000 gallon capacity open and closed stainless steel tanks.

These include: batch tanks, agitated tanks, portable Transfer tanks, jacketed tanks, buffer tanks, and storage tanks. The company also manufactures other products that are widely used in other industries like food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, industrial processing, etc.
