5 High Profile Lawyers Who Have Represented Bollywood Actors In Controversial Cases

Bollywood stars, whilst being the center of attention in the public domain, also have the required finances to hire the best services that money can buy. And this includes lawyers too, in case they get caught up in a scandal.

Well, as things turned out in the Aryan Khan case, it was revealed that Amit Desai, the high profile senior advocate who had represented Salman Khan in the hit-and-run case, was also the one representing Aryan for his bail hearing.

While Aryan Khan, being Shah Rukh’s eldest son, has the power to hire the best in the business, he’s definitely not the only one. Here are some other high profile lawyers who have represented Bollywood celebrities in the past.

1. Satish Maneshinde For Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt was caught in many controversies and him being one of the biggest stars in Bollywood meant, he could very well have the lawyer he had his eyes on.

He hired the services of Satish Maneshinde, who has also represented Salman Khan, Rhea Chakraborty, and now Aryan Khan as well.

As per reports, the top lawyer of course doesn’t come cheap as he charges around Rs 10 lakh per hearing.

2. Dipesh Mehta For Hrithik Roshan

Legal advisor Dipesh Mehta is almost like a family member for the Roshans and this is one of the reasons he didn’t hesitate before representing Hrithik Roshan in the case against Kangana Ranaut.

There aren’t any details available on how much he actually earns but considering he’s handled cases of Salman as well, we’re guessing he sure as hell charges a lot.

3. Shrikant Shivade For Shiney Ahuja

Shiney Ahuja was accused of raping his maid service back in 2009, and it was legal counsel Shrikant Shivade who represented him in the case.

Shivade, who prefers not to be called a celebrity lawyer, too earns a large sum on the basis of the hearings.

4. Prashant Patil For Sooraj Pancholi

In June 2013, Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was found hanging at her Mumbai home, after which her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi, Aditya Pancholi’s son, was arrested by the police for abetting her suicide.

Following that, it was advocate Prashant Patil who chose to represent the upcoming actor as he felt it was a good challenge for him and that he knew that ‘Sooraj was innocent’ in the case.

5. Hitesh Jain For Preity Zinta

Preity Zinta filed a police complaint against her ex-boyfriend and businessman Ness Wadia for allegedly molesting, abusing, and threatening her inside the Wankhede stadium.

Following this, renowned lawyer, Hitesh Jain took up Preity’s case as he felt that he was fighting for women’s rights and for Preity’s personal dignity.
