5 Big Films Rejected By Saif Ali Khan That Made Us Shout ‘Oh Wow’

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

Actor Saif Ali Khan is one of the few actors in the industry who probably didn’t taste success in the beginning of their career but eventually surprised the world with their stellar acting skills. Remember how he took the OTT world by a storm with that insane act in Sacred Games? Well, turns out he also rejected quite a few big projects on his way up and here are few films which he turned down:

1. 2 States

Even though the movie was a hit and everybody did justice to bringing the novel to life, Arjun wasn’t the first choice. The movie was first offered to Saif, then SRK, followed by Ranbir. Eventually, Arjun ended up doing it and did a good job.

2. Talaash

Now one would say that you can’t imagine anyone replacing Aamir as this fierce cop looking for answers but post Sacred Games, I’d say Saif would have done full justice to this role. Kareena Kapoor explained in an interview that Saif was indeed the first choice but at that time, he was more inclined towards a commercial movie.

3. DDLJ

Yes, no one would probably dare touch the perfection and the cult status that this movie enjoys in our hearts but before SRK took over as the iconic Raj, Saif was considered for the lead role.

4. Race 3

It is only natural to assume that after being a part of the first two projects, he’d be seen in the third part as well. While not much is known, reports claim that he didn’t want to play the second lead with Salman ‘bhai’ after being the lead in the first two projects.

5. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Saif was offered the role of Aman Mehra, which was not the lead role but an important one. It was eventually essayed by Salman Khan who even won an award for the best supporting actor.
