Colombo Yogurt, Taco Bell, Nathan's and Tim Horton had a combined 50 violation points during the November 8 inspection.

By comparison, restaurants with a score between 0 and 13 points earn an A.

The critical violations cited include live roaches, filth, flies and contaminated food in the restaurants managed by the same company.

The city health department said the restaurants could be reopened if proof is provided that the violations had been eliminated by, say,
producing receipts from a pest control company.

A health department official said that a reopening inspection would be held, and if the restaurants passed that inspection, they would be
allowed to do business.
