3 Indian Americans Get Important Jobs

WASHINGTON, DC- Three Indian Americans have been appointed at key positions — Priyanka Hooghan is appointed as the chief of staff for the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management at the Department of Energy; Raghav Vajjhala has joined the US Securities and Exchange Commission as senior officer and associate director for enterprise IT operations and Shivani Vakharia is the new associate director for congressional and government affairs at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Before her appointment, Hooghan was staff director on the Subcommittee on Environment on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Vajjhala was the chief information officer and chief data officer at the FTC and Vakharia was a congressional affairs officer at the National Endowment for Democracy.
