New Delhi, Oct 18 (IANS) The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Thursday began work on the metro line between INA and South Extension in south Delhi.
It will be part of the Mukundpur-Shiv Vihar metro corridor, said a Delhi Metro official.
The tunneling has started and the drive will cover a distance of 924 meters and will be part of the Bhikaji Cama Place-Lajpat Nagar underground section.
Two tunnel boring machines are being used at the site.
The 53-km-long stretch from Mukundpur in north Delhi to Shiv Vihar in west Delhi is a part of the Phase III metro corridor.
