Woman stabbed to death in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) A woman’s body with several stab wounds has been found near an under-construction building in the capital, police said on Thursday.

The body of 24-year-old Neetu was found in Mansarovar Park area of east Delhi Wednesday night. Her body, lying in a pool of blood, was spotted by a passer-by.

The passer-by looked around for the woman’s house, found her mother and informed her, who in turn called police.

Police suspect the involvement of the building’s security guard who is now on the run.

Neetu’s husband Salman, who is an auto driver, was away from home for work when the body was found.

Police said Neetu’s mother, who lived somewhere else, had come to meet her Wednesday evening, when she found her two children crying at home.

"Her husband told police that Neetu had taken Rs.5,000 from the security guard which he asked her to return. He also threatened her several times," a police officer said.
