Vishnu Vardhan wins Asian tennis tour title

Kolkata, Nov 9: Vishnu Vardhan played to the script by winning the central excise Asian tennis tour title eclipsing V.M. Ranjeet in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) here on Wednesday.

Ranjeet broke early to take the lead but Vishnu broke back with his big serves to bag the first set. 

In the second set, Vishnu broke in the first game itself and was leading 4-2 at one point but Ranjeet broke back and levelled the match at 4-4. 

Vishnu played the break point by hitting a running forehand to serve for the match and wrap up the game in his favour.
