Vaishnav Temple’s annual Annkut

NEW YORK, NY — Vaishnav Temple of New York held its annual Annkut as part of Diwali celebrations which was attended by a record 2,000 devotees who experienced a divine darshan of Lord Shrinathji to begin their new year.

All young and old devotees were invited to take Mahaprasad before leaving the temple.

Established in 1988, the New York Vaishnav Temple is the first traditional ‘Pushtimargiya’ temple in North America with Govardhannathji Prabhu at its helm for the past 25 years.

The temple holds many religious activities every year like Giriraj Mahotsav, Phag Khel (Holi), Janmashtami, Nand Mahotsav and the Shri Mahaprabhuji Prakotsav. The temple has the support of Pushtimargiya spiritual leaders and Vallabhkulna Balako such as P.P. Goswami 108 Shri Mathureshwarji Maharaj and P.P. Goswami Shri Indirabetiji along with others.

The Vaishnav Temple also serves as a community service center whose purpose is to enrich people’s lives. It runs many community services like a senior citizen center, classes in computer, Gujarati and Yoga besides organizing health fairs.

The temple also supports HELP (Human Enrichment by Love & Peace) which aids those struggling after facing natural disasters.
