University of Chicago Medicine Presents Community Health Initiative: Free Clinic in Glendale Heights

CHICAGO , IL — In an effort to address the challenge of approximately 30 million uninsured Americans lacking health insurance and facing difficulties in accessing quality care, the University of Chicago Medicine and AdventHealth are collaborating to organize a free medical clinic. This clinic will take place on Saturday, June 3rd in the far western suburbs.
The clinic aims to provide a range of essential medical services to individuals without health insurance. The services available at the clinic include:
• Chiropractic care • Dental exams • Diabetes and nutrition education • Eye exams • Lab screenings, including glucose, urinalysis, and pregnancy tests • Orthopedics • Pediatrics: school/sports physicals (excluding immunizations) • Pharmacy: free medication provided based on the examination at the clinic
Physical therapy • Podiatry • Primary care
The event will be held at the Glendale Heights Sports Hub, located at 250 Civic Centre Plaza in Glendale Heights. The clinic will be operational from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
