ST. KITTS & NEVIS, Sep 8: Defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders registered their fourth win in this year’s Hero CPL as they outplayed Jamaica Tallawahs by a commanding 75 runs.
In another match, Barbados Royals gave themselves hopes of getting into the play-offs with a 45-run victory over Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Put in to bat, Trinbago Knight Riders reached 167 for 4 after captain Kieron Pollard and Tim Seifert blasted 28 runs in the final over.
In reply, Jamaica Tallawahs struggled to build partnerships amidst some fantastic bowling from Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul and Ali Khan as they were bundled out for 92.
Barbados Royals, on the other hand, notched up their second win in the tournament and they still have three group games remaining.
Royals posted 185 for 8 in 20 overs and bundled out the Guyana Amazon Warriors for 140 runs to register a 45-run win. (PTI)
