Tiwary to lead India ‘A’ against West Indies

Chennai, Sep 22: Middle-order batsman Manoj Tiwary will captain India 'A' for the two practice one-day matches against the West Indies to be played in Mumbai.

The first practice game will be held in the Brabourne Stadium Oct 3 while the second will be at the Wankhede Oct 5, the All-India Senior Selection Committee announced Monday.

Youngsters Unmukt Chand and Sanju Samson have also been included while pacer Dhawal Kulkarni, who played just one ODI in England, would look to stake a claim in the senior side.

The games will serve as a build-up for the West Indians ahead of their three ODIs against India Oct 8, 11 and 14.

Squad: Manoj Tiwary (captain), Unmukt Chand, Murali Vijay, Karun Nair, Kedar Jadhav, Sanju Samson, Stuart Binny, Parvez Rasool, Amit Mishra, Jasprit Bumrah, Dhawal Kulkarni, Rahul Shukla, Karn Sharma, Gurkeerat Singh Maan.
