Suzy’s Place Hosts Successful Free Community Health Workshop

CHICAGO,IL— On Sunday, November 18th, 2018 a free community health consultation and workshop was held at Suzy’s Place’s service facility at 6425 North Rockwell Street in Chicago. Suzy’s Place and Midwest IHPA worked in collaboration to positively impact the Rogers Park community.

Health professionals ranging from, cardiologists, pulmonologists, family physicians, psychiatrists, dentists, physical therapists, nutritionists and nurse practitioners were all in attendance to provide their services. They saw members of the community and answered all medical questions and concerns. Fun healthy cooking demos also took place.

The Indian Consul General came and spoke to volunteers about their commitment to serve. A warm thanks to Officer Mayra Gomez from Chicago Police Department who came for outreach.

Given the big turn out, both Shahida Khan, President of Suzy’s Place, and Executive Director Arshia Hasnain, look forward to holding these free health consultations every three months to benefit the community.
