Suspect still at large in shooting case

YORK COUNTY, PA — A suspect in York County, Pennsylvania, remains at large days after an October 18 fatal shooting of Indian American convenience store clerk Aditya Anand.

Anand was shot in the left arm and chest at the beginning of his shift around 5:45 am on October 18 at an Exxon gas station store in York.

The clerk was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead at 6:10 am.

Community members remembered the 44-year-old Anand positively.

The police said that the shooting and robbery were "unusual".

The shooter, described by police as a black man in his 30s with a large build and a beard, remains at large. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, an olive coat, jeans and white sneakers.
