Sunburn festival Goa ends with a bang

Vagator, Dec 31: The four day "Sunburn" festival which began on December 27, ended on Wednesday with a bang, leaving fans asking for more.

The day started with electrifying sets from Shaan and Friends, followed by Shashank, Folic State, Back to Mars and Nitin who took over the line up on all 5 stages of Sunburn.

Julia Bliss set the pace with her complex drum beats and percussion sounds with KSHMR throwing in some electro progressive house and big room bass with the Bollywood number "Kajra Re" from "Bunty Aur Babli".

"Sunburn Goa 2015 was truly magical in every aspect. The event witnessed a colossal turnout with some of the biggest headliners, top class security measures and world class production and design," chief executive officer of Sunburn, Karan Singh said in a statement.

"The event was streamed live and watched by over a million of fans across the globe with on-ground participation from more than 50 countries. A big thank you to all the fans.

"A special thanks to the Goa government and associated sponsors cum partners without which Sunburn Goa 2015 wouldn’t be rated amongst the top players in the world. Sunburn 2016 will get only bigger as we will enter our 10th anniversary celebrations next year," he added.

Headlined by the most popular Grammy winning producer David Guetta, thousands of fans came together for the culmination of the ninth edition of Sunburn.

Guetta delivered one of his most diverse sets. Covering classics like “Titanium” "Sexy Bitch" to which the audience chanted religiously, progressing on to his more recent hits like “Hey Mama” and “Lovers On the Sun”.

The high octane night ended with the much acclaimed producer proclaiming his love for Indian fans and how India is the temple of dance music.

With celebrities like Rana Dagubatti, Ramcharan, Cheeranjivi, Naved Jaffrey, Raghu and Rajeev coming down here, fans from all over the world let their hair down to the music played by assorted artists be it International or home-grown. (Bollywood Country Report)
