NEW YORK, NY -Next time when you are in New York, you may come across, “Ganesh Temple Street,” in Flushing, Queens County. The street situated outside Maha Vallabha Ganapati Devasthanam, popularly known as the Ganesh Temple, is named Bowne Street; in a special ceremony held on Saturday, the street was co-named the Ganesh Temple Street. The street sign unveiling ceremony was attended by Consul General of India in New York, Randhir Jaiswal along with Queens Borough President Donovan Richards and other prominent names.
In December last year, a committee chaired by councilman Peter Koo, under The New York City Council had approved the co-naming of Bowne Street as “Ganesh Temple.”
