It wouldn’t be wrong to say Govinda is the lost king of Bollywood and he is often seen as a star who became an overnight sensation but when he lost the charm, it was not possible for him to ever make a mark again.
Govinda made his Bollywood debut with Love 86 in 1986 and never looked back. He established himself as a leading star of the 80s and 90s, with hits such as Ilzaam, Aankhen, Raja Babu, Hero No 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Haseena Maan Jaayegi to his credit. He won acclaim for his comic timing and dance moves.
He was last seen on the big screen in Rangeela Raja. Now, he is trying his luck in the music industry but it isn’t working out either. Over the last few weeks, he has been coming out with music videos. His debut single was a track called Tip Tip Paani Barsa, which he followed up with Chashma Chadha Ke. His third song, Hello, released on Wednesday but people couldn’t connect with it at all.
On Wednesday, Govinda shared the new song and made the announcement on social media, writing: “Hi guys, my third song Hello is out on my YouTube channel Govinda Royalles. Link in bio. I hope you all will love it!”

If you have seen the song, you would realize that Govinda is stuck in the 90s era when mismatched outfits and over-the-top bright and colourful settings were okay. The lyrics are written for torturing the listener. The song’s lyrics are also composed by Govinda in collaboration with Rohit Raj Sinha.
The song didn’t get popular on the first day of its release but now people are getting to see it. The comments have been turned off for the YouTube video but people are bashing him on Instagram and are requesting him to retire peacefully and not lose his legacy.

In an earlier interview with Times of India, he spoke about his plans and told, “I plan to give opportunities to the lower strata of aspiring artistes, who want to work in this industry with respect and don’t want to indulge in unethical things. I will help them through my company and would like big companies to invest in this project of mine. At this age, I cannot go through the rigmarole, but I would like to give back to society by giving a chance to newcomers. I want to eliminate the difficulties that they have to go through, created by the big names in the industry. I am no longer in the age bracket to struggle again; now is the time for me to give back to people so that they are able to navigate the present scenario.”
