Shivalya Hindu Cultural Center’s Annual Gala

CHICAGO, IL — Shivalya Hindu Cultural Center successfully celebrated Annual Gala and fundraising event at Vermilion Downtown which was attended by 110 guests from Downtown Chicago and other neighborhoods.

Jigar Shah, cultural and artistic director of Shivalya, and the core executive team organized the event which started with red carpet, networking and cocktail reception followed by performances.

The program consisted of a slide show presentation, Bollywood and a belly-dancing performance, a musical event with Open DJ Dance Floor.

A three- course meal was served there also being a silent auction and raffle. There were a lot of great prizes and gift items. Lots of big donors and devotees graciously donated funds to Shivalya temple.

The event was stellar and a huge success. Jigar Shah was the Master of Ceremony and he wooed the audience with his outstanding speech and entertainment comprising Bollywood songs performed by Pratibha Jairath and Raj Bankpura Chicago area popular singers.

The audience had a lot of fun dancing on the open dance floor. The entire evening was scintillating and fun-filled.

Shivalya temple located in Downtown Chicago, 318 west Grand is the Hindu Cultural temple which aims at providing culture and values to the community.

The temple celebrates all religious ceremonies, festivals and events with devotion, fun and reverence. It also runs kids’ classes and a lot of educational and art events for devotees. Shivalya wants to create a community with enriched culture and values for the coming generation.
