‘Ship of Theseus’ collects Rs.25.46 lakh on opening weekend

Mumbai, July 22 (IANS) Director Anand Gandhi's 'Ship of Theseus', that released in just five cities, collected Rs.25.46 lakh on the opening weekend.

Made on a budget of Rs.2.5 crore (with print and advertising), it released on Friday in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. 

'Ship of Theseus' did a business of Rs.11.05 lakh Sunday, Rs.9.20 lakh on Saturday and Rs.5.21 lakh on Friday. That's a total of Rs.25.46 lakh, said a statement.

Filmmaker Kiran Rao has released the film in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures. 

The story in 'Ship of Theseus' talks about human values and features three characters – an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and a stock broker.

Now, the film will release in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kochi on demand.
