CHICAGO, IL – Support for State Senator Napoleon Harris, a candidate for the Democratic nomination for US senate, seems to be growing with speakers at a press conference to meet and greet him describing him as a young, distinguished and proven leader ‘who delivers’.

Kishor Mehta, executive director for Volunteers For Napoleon Harris 2016, and event chairperson, told media representatives and the eminent guests that Harris was currently Vice -Chair of State Insurance Committee and served on State Public Health, Economic and development committees.
Kishor also introduced Sohan Joshi of National Federation of Indian American Associations (NFIA-USA) who made an appeal to make a few phone calls or knock on friends’ door and request them to vote for Senator Harris.
Dr. Vijay Prabhakar, co-chair and the backbone of the volunteers’ force, also solicited support for Harris, asking them to “go vote and punch number # 23 for Democratic primary election on March 15.
He spoke about the Senator’s achievement, especially his passion for education. He said he was confident that Harris, a former NFL football pro drafted by Oakland Raiders and who has played for Minnesota Vikings & Kansas City Chiefs, would do his best for people of Illinois and the community.
Prominent leaders of society–Vijay Doma-UTCC coordinator, Clarence Beals-CEO, Jordan’s Dream, Jerome Altman, Hema Potla, CEO, Hema’s Kitchen were present at the event.
Harris praised the media and multi-ethnic communities for their support and said that his business knowledge, entrepreneurship and religious background would be very useful in serving Illinois.
Appealing for early voting, he said that he was a businessman and his business viewpoint could help human beings who have disadvantages in life.
James Jones, a campaign manager and a high-ranking supporter of Harris, Mohammad Ashfaq, president and CEO at American Scientific Clinical Lab, expressed their support to Harris.
