Salma Hayek gets ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame Star’ honour

Salma Hayek has been honoured with a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in California. The Mexican-American actress and film producer is now the 2,709th celebrity to get the coveted star. Hayek was honoured on Friday ahead of the release of her latest film, House of Gucci. The actress expressed gratitude to her fans and dedicated her star to them. The ceremony was attended by Chloe Zhao and Adam Sandler.

During her speech, Hayek recalled the doubts some people had about her succeeding in America as a Mexican woman. She thanked those who opened doors for her and also advised people to follow their dreams. Salma said, “Find something to love. If you think you aren’t good at it like I did, make yourself good at it. It doesn’t have to be the movies, be your best at everything you do. Try to be better. Try to find joy in what you do. Work hard. Prepare. Don’t care what anybody says, but most importantly don’t listen to yourself when you bring yourself down.”
