Adilabad: Farmers expressed gratitude to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for implementing Rythu Bandhu scheme at Mukhra (K) village in Echoda mandal on Monday.

The beneficiaries of the innovative investment support scheme took out a bullock cart rally in the streets of the village. They then performed ksheerabhishekam to a life sized flex poster of the Chief Minister for extending the financial aid to the agrarian community. They danced to drum beats, while women carried harati as part of the celebrations.

Sarpanch of the village Gadge Meenakshi said that the habitation had 253 farmers and of them, 240 already got the funds under the scheme. She stated that the farmers were jubilant after their accounts were credited with the amount. She added that Chandrashekhar Rao was showing great concern towards farmers unlike his counterparts across India.

Similar colorful celebrations were held in mandal centres and villages to mark the release of Rs 50,000 crore to implement the first-of-its-kind scheme. Activists and leaders of the TRS took part in the celebrations and hailed Rao for extending the monetary aid to farmers.
