London, April 23: Actor Robert Downey Jr. walked out of a promotional interview for his upcoming film "Avengers: Age of Ultron" with show host Krishnan Guru-Murthy. The actor said "bye" after being asked about his relationship with his father and his past drug use.

The interview on BBC Channel 4, which was supposed to discuss the actor’s upcoming movie, went awkward after Guru-Murthy shifted the topic from his upcoming movie to his personal life, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"The Avengers" actor seemed uncomfortable when the host asked him about his relationship with his father, jail time and past drug addiction.

"Are we promoting a movie," Downey Jr asked.

He then asked the host to jump into the next question rather than talk about his past, and preferred to continue discussing his film.

"The reason I’m asking you about the past is that you’ve talked in other interviews about your relationship with your father and the role of all of that in the dark periods you’ve been to, taking drugs and drinking and all of that," Guru-Murthy said.

"I’m wondering if you’re free of all of that or if that’s something you…"

It turns out that the 50-year-old actor didn’t want to talk about his personal life at all as he immediately cut short the interview.

"It’s just getting a little Diane Sawyer in here," he said before leaving the interview room. (Bollywood Country Report)
