Ravi Shastri’s Alcohol Fondness Leads To Trolling After IPL Team Want Him As Head Coach

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri will be bidding adieu to his position with the Men in Blue as soon as the T20 World Cup 2021 will be over. However, the former Indian cricketer will continue to be in high demand among the India Premier League franchises, thanks to his exceptional coaching record with the national side.

Even though the tournament is not over yet, Shastri has already been approached by an IPL team to act as their head coach during the upcoming season, which only goes on to show his popularity and fame as a leader and a mentor.

Unfortunately, it was because of the city of which the team had approached Shastri that his fondness for alcoholic beverages became a national source of memes and social media trolls once again.

The newly formed IPL franchise from Ahmedabad has reportedly taken the first step towards getting Shastri on their side and hope to exploit his expertise of being in the locker room with the intention of making some early strides in their inaugural season.

Ahmedabad, as many would know, belongs to the ‘dry’ state of Gujarat which means that the manufacturing, storing, selling and consuming alcoholic beverages is banned in the city, which, according to trolls, would cause a significant problem for Shastri as he laces up to coach the new franchise at home.

How will he perform to his potential in a dry state

But Daaru is banned in Gujrat. No?

— Wise Blunder (@Vicky_banna07) November 6, 2021

Dry state mei kya karega wo?

— शिव-am (@Shivamda) November 6, 2021

Yeh uska daaru chudane ke liye plan hai BCCI ka. BCCI uska daru chudake T20 WC ka badla le raha.

On the other hand, a lot of fans of the Indian cricket team were excited about the reports that Shastri would be returning to the commentary box after almost a decade. As one of the most loved and respected voices behind the microphone, Shastri may have a lot more fans as a commentator than a head coach.

The offer from the Ahmedabad franchise could lead to a delay in Shastri’s chances of making it to the commentary box by some time and as a result, people have been left broken-hearted and disappointed.

Thought he would head back to the commentary box.. missing his commentary
