HI INDIA NEWS DESK
OHIO- Ohio’s top gambling regulator has issued an emergency order that prohibits licensed sportsbooks in the state from accepting bets on University of Alabama baseball games. The order was issued by Matthew Schuler, the executive director of the Ohio Casino Control Commission, after a report of suspicious gambling activity was received from one of the state’s “certified independent integrity monitors”. Sports betting is legal in 33 states in the US, but it is not clear if any other states have issued similar orders.

The emergency order comes after Las Vegas-based U.S. Integrity sent an alert to sportsbooks warning of “suspicious wagering activity” in the Alabama-LSU game. Officials from U.S. Integrity, LSU, and Alabama did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
