OFBJP hails BJP wins in state polls

CHICAGO, IL – The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) celebrated the historic victory of BJP in the recently concluded elections in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarkhand and Manipur.

This celebration event was held on March 25 at the Rana Reagan center located in the Carol Stream suburb of Chicago, Illinois.

The program started with a welcome speech by OFBJP national general secretary Amar Upadhyay. He started with a warm welcome to the Bharatiya Senior Citizens group, United Senior Citizens group, OFBJP members, VHPA members and HHS members who were all present at the event with a total strength of more than couple of hundreds.

He passed on his congratulatory message to the newly-appointed chief ministers of UP Yogi Aadityanathji, of Uttarkhand Trivendra Singh Rawat, of Manipur N Biren Singh and of Goa Manohar parikar.

Upadhyay also shared the experiences and hard work he, along with Rohit Joshi and others put in during the UP election campaign. They went all the way to UP and do the legwork before the campaign.

A ‘deep prajavalan’ ceremony was conducted where Joshi invited the guest of honor Bharat Barai from the Chicagoland area and Khemchand from the Delhi BJP unit, along with other OFBJP members.

Joshi, OFBJP Chicago youth convener Nirav Patel, Barai and Khemchand spoke on the occasion.

BJP communication cell convener Khemchand talked about the upcoming elections for the municipal corporation of Delhi. He also shared ways to contribute to this election campaign through social media, use of voluntary services by making phone calls and any resources that could make a positive impact for the BJP Delhi unit.

He also pointed out that Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal had failed t keep his promises. To ensure Delhi sees a comprehensive development, it was important for Delhi to form a BJP governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership.

Barai shared his experiences with Modi during 1990s when he was just a party worker.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Nirav Patel OFBJP to all the guests and organizations.
