A significant meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on external affairs convened on Friday to discuss global terrorism challenges had to be cancelled on Friday for want of quorum.
Only four MPs turned up for the meeting today, out of the panel’s total strength of 28 MPs.

The committee has among members veteran Congress leaders P Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal, Preneet Kaur, SAD’s Harsimrat Badal, TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee and Kalyan Banerjee; SP’s Jaya Bachchan and former CJI Ranjan Gogoi.
