Namaste from Tesla Robot

The work-in-progress humanoid from Tesla called the ‘Optimus,’ seems to be learning lessons in Indian culture! A short video shared by Tesla head Elon Musk shows the robot performing various tasks such as sorting different colored blocks etc. But what really amused millions of Indians was that towards the end of the video the robot not only stretched to perform some Yoga like ‘asanas’ but also folded hands in a ‘Namaste’ pose just before signing off.

The gesture left the social media users in splits. While some saw it as an indication that Tesla may be launching in India soon, some others pointed out the incorrect posture for ‘Namaste.’
