Modi debuts on Instagram

Nay Pyi Taw, Nov 12 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday made his Instagram debut, sharing a picture from the venue of the ASEAN Summit here.

“Hello World! Great being on Instagram. My first photo…this one from the ASEAN Summit. @Nay Pyi Taw, http://instagram.com/p/vSUOhVM_wX/,” the prime minister said in a tweet.

Within minutes of Modi posting his first image on the photo and video sharing service, it was liked by over 700 people.

The account was also flooded with comments.

Modi arrived on Nov 11 on a two-day visit to Myanmar.
