London, March 12: An Indian-origin schoolboy in Britain, who went missing last week, has been found safe in the port city of Southampton in Hampshire.

Jaspreet Khunkhun, 12, from Walsall in West Midlands was located at a family member’s home Monday, the Birmingham Mail reported.

The boy was reported missing March 5, after he did not return home from school.

“Thankfully Jaspreet has been found safe and well, some miles away in Hampshire,” Joanne Myatt-Jones, a police officer, was quoted as saying.

“We want to thank everyone who has helped us with this missing persons inquiry,” he added.

The boy, a student of Aldridge school, had also gone missing four times earlier over the past year but has always returned safe and well.

Police were searching for the boy since the report was registered.
